Information for Guests Staying at White Bear Lodge
EMERGENCY/MAINTENANCE: Maintenance hours are from 8:00am to 6:00pm, maintenance can be reached at (970) 547-9975.
If you have an afterhours emergency, please call (970) 547-9975 and push 1 for an on-call maintenance worker. If you leave a message and have not been contacted within an hour, please call (970) 389-8349.
PETS: This is a dog friendly home, but you must have made arrangements for your dog’s stay prior to check-in. If not, please inform River Ridge Rentals.
BBQ GRILL: You will find a propane grill on the back deck. If you run out of propane during your stay, you will find a full tank in the garage. If you use the entire new tank, please call maintenance at (970) 547-9975 between 8:00am and 6:00pm and they will deliver a new tank.
SNOW REMOVAL: Snow from all decks and walkways were removed on the day of your arrival. If you are staying 6 or more nights, maintenance will shovel the walks midweek.
Snow plowing of the driveway is done on days that receive 4” or more snow. Please do not park on the street or you will be ticketed by the Summit County Transportation Department.
HEATING and COOLING: White Bear Lodge is equipped with radiant in-floor heating and is controlled on individual thermostats. It is recommended that it not be set above 68 degrees for the house will become too hot.
Please keep the garage doors closed as the garage is heated.
Houses in Summit County do not have air conditioning. If you are experiencing one of our 2 hot weeks out of the year, we encourage you to open screened windows before 10:00am and run the ceiling fans.
ALCOHOL: For those coming from low altitude, the effect of alcohol here is magnified 2-3 times that of sea level.
Altitude Mountain Sickness: If you are coming from sea level or low altitude then please make sure to drink 12-20 8 oz glasses of water per day and do not drink alcohol during the first 24 hours.
